As I study the canvas, I'm drawn in by the layers of texture formed by clay and sands. Tts raw, earthy energy capitates me. By blending hues of rust, ochre, and green, a dynamic and organic composition came naturally as the painting started to have a life of its own, a visual landscape that is first rugged then refined. New possibilities with each painting is empowering. Both spontaneous and intentional, getting lost depth and complexity. It's a testament to embracing the unexpected in creative process.
